Pete Costello is the Assistant Curator of the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, an expert in conservation, and a long-time birder:

Mid-April is a great time to spot the spring bird migrants returning to the region, as well as observe the native bird species becoming more active with the warmer weather.

Join Pete for a birdwatching walk around Greenwood Park and sections of the Crystal Spring trail looking for spring migrants.

This area has proven to be a great spot for expert and beginner birders alike.

Binoculars recommended!
