We will discuss the three types of rocks, the most common rocks of the Fells in this area, and rock formations to see and touch. A brief history of the Wisconsin Glaciation period and impact of the Laurentide Ice Sheet will also be discussed. We will also discuss topology, soil, and substrate and their effects on woodland development.
