Early Summer Nature Walk along the North Reservoir with Winchester Trails

Wednesday, June 16, 9:00 am - 11:00 am

North Reservoir, Hillcrest Pkwy & Appalachian Rd. Intersection, Winchester

Leaders:  Tinie Noordzij, Lindy Brown, Winchester Trails Guides

We will walk along the trails on the west side of the North Reservoir, looking for variations in the landscape and identify plants, suchs as Canada mayflower, wild geranium, sarsaparilla, shrubs like maple leaf viburnum and sweet pepper bush, trees, butterflies and birds. We’ll talk about the history and forest management of the Fells.

Bring binoculars if you have them, we are always on the look out for birds.

We’ll meet at the north end of the North Reservoir, next to the tennis courts across from 15 Appalachian Road. Parking is available along Hillcrest Avenue, off Highland Avenue in Winchester.

Steady rain or stormy wind cancels.
