New-to-the-Fells and/or the Outdoors Hike with Tommy Bellaire

Sunday, January 23,
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Long Pond Parking Lot, South Border Rd., Winchester

Difficulty: easy to moderate

Appropriate for: those who haven't hiked before and/or those unfamiliar with the Fells.

Leader:  Tommy Bellaire (he/him)

About Tommy:  "Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to be leading this social hike. I've been hiking in the Fells pretty much my entire life and recently have been interested in how the Fells and nature can act as a connecting force. In the past, I have led hikes as a part of the Friends of the Fells' Forest Camp and as a part of Brown University's Outdoor Leadership Training program."

Join us as we explore the Long Pond area of the Fells! Time will be spent explaining the geography of the Fells, wayfinding tips and tricks, and the history of the Fells.

This one-hour hike will be an easy, mostly flat walk along wide paths. My goal is to make this hike accessible to all so if this difficulty is uncomfortable please let me know and we will adjust.

More than a dusting of snow on trails cancels this hike.

Please note that space is strictly limited, and pre-registration will be required for all of our 2021 group events (no on-site registrations will be permitted).

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE DO NOT BE A NO-SHOW!!! Our free offerings are frequently waitlisted, so if you cannot attend, PLEASE CONTACT US so we can give your spot to another person who wants to participate.

THANK YOU!
